The SCAG ADU Project (Bundle 1-B) led by Woodsong Associates, for the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), provided technical assistance related to effective ADU implementation policies and programs for four demographically diverse cities in Southern California: Santa Fe Springs, Buena Park, Garden Grove, and Paramount. In addition to public-facing informational and engagement materials (such as a full length ADU Handbook, FAQs, an online ADU survey, and more), the project culminated in five plan-check ready prototype ADU plan sets.

Additionally, Woodsong delivered a diverse array of technical materials to aid City staff and support policy recommendations. These included an ADUs Financial Strategies report describing local market conditions, national best practices, and potential structures for a City-sponsored financing program; a Needs Assessment report; an ADU Opportunities and Constraints Analysis; and a Non-Conforming ADU report.
